I’m not gonna lie I’m kinda freaked out right now!
I actually hungout with my two best friends tonight and we’ve all been self-quarantining for weeks already. But I can’t help but feel like tonight was the last time and my heart is breaking.
Someone tell me something funny or amusing!

Don't you live in the US? Don't you guys have the highest infection, and death rates in the world? Seeing friends is ridiculously irresponsible at this point. You're only meant to go out for short isolated exercise, and groceries. The longer you guys don't comply, the longer you'll be in lockdown.
No wonder the US has the highest numbers

Italy has the highest death rates in the world and Spain is 2nd place. UK was in 2nd place after the USA of new deaths in the last 24 hours so I don't know what the UK is doing right either. Weren't pubs full less than 2 weeks ago? UK has more than 3 times the death rate of Germany yet they have twice as many infected.
Not every area is on lockdown

Na, the US is definitely heading for higher numbers. Trump has been an absolute imbecile through this, like he always is. The UK wasn't a perfect example either, we still have people going out cause there's a little bit of sun. Americans badly needed to take Italy and the UK as examples of how NOT to handle this. The UK should've been in lockdown 2 weeks before it was announced officially. But as usual everyone has to learn the fucking hard way.

Our social life is not more important than someone else's life. China's blame is besides the point, we still have the responsibility to stop this virus from spreading, and potentially killing someone.
The lockdown will just be extended, and we'll end up in this predicament for longer. I know I'm being quite aggressive in my approach to this subject, but it's fucking serious, and it frustrates me when people don't take this seriously, and flaunt their careless behaviour.

Ive been quarantined for about 3 weeks. My friend lives at the end of her block and no neighbor on the other side (house for sale). Spare me the lecture.

Do you have symptoms? Isn't a quarantine supposed to be 2 weeks. So you hung out with someone who had the virus or where you at a high risk area?

There’s more than 2 people in that pic you posted, and visiting friends is not what I call self-quarantining . And I’m not lecturing you, I just refuse to endorse bad examples.

Randy, nice to see back boo!
I co-sign Monkey in that it’s better to be safe than sorry and I’ve been keeping my butt home. I would recommend most do as well and everyone I know is staying indoors and home.

I've been working the entire time so I'm just kinda… dealing with having to leave my house 5 days out the week and deal with people in close quarters whilst still trying to practice social distancing...doesn't make me feel better when I hear of coworkers talking about kickbacks they're going to and basement barber shops and hair salons they're frequenting whilst our state having a shelter in place order.

Ideally, the areas that social distance better will still have deaths, but less than there would be if they didn't co-operate. Unfortunately a lot of these current UK deaths are from people that were infected before the current lockdown. The more we continue to rebel against the rules, the longer this epidemic will keep re-peaking, and enforcing further lockdowns. People need to stay home and socially isolate, to either stop themselves from getting infected, or stopping their own infections spreading to larger numbers.
The quarantines won't slow the curve if people keep being assholes, and thinking their days out are more important than protecting others. The NHS is already overrun as it is, and doesn't need these idiots making their work load even worse. The length of the lockdowns are hugely dependent on how the public can contain this virus, and stop it from re-peaking in huge numbers after the initial infection pre-lockdown.

No one here has mentioned the fact that (unless I'm blinder than I thought) you can still spread the virus even if YOU DO NOT HAVE SYMPTOMS! Thais why it's important to stay home unless it's absolutely necessary.
