The fact that this song won’t even be remembered in a year makes this even more pathetic. The #1 spot on Billboard is becoming less and less prestigious as time goes on, Billboard as a whole really.

The biggest song of the 1980s according to Billboard hot 100 is Olivia Newton John's physical. A song people only know as a joke nowadays and because of Glee

Physical is still well known. But yeah One Sweet Day was so big back then, but I never hear it nowadays. Boyz II Men were huge then too which helped the song dominate.

True. It’s easily her most forgettable hit but at least there was some talent involved. Old Town Road is a bottom of the barrel cheap meme song. It’s like a Weird Al parody but much worse.

Not everything stands the test of time. She still has hits that are remembered, which is what's most important.
