Words can’t express how AWFUL this film is. Don’t see it but if you must don’t go in with low expectations.

Go in with NONE! It’s that bad!

Idk man I’m a fan of the original series but this is one of the better horror remakes. It’s like Stranger Things meets Black Mirror, I thought it was a fun movie with some cool slasher setpieces.

Prayers

Well the movie did almost exact business over the weekend as the original LOL (adjusted for inflation). The budget however is lower than the original (adjusted for inflation).

It’s the cult status of the originals that inflated those numbers though.

Stranger things meeting Black Mirror copying ET is the PROBLEM and why so many original fans are pissed off. This film has no consideration for the original franchise it’s almost a joke. It feels almost not even a Child’s play film and a series that’s extremely different with the child’s play label.

I have come to the conclusion that reboots will never touch the original.

The only good reboot to me is 2003 Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Jessica performance slayed and that film actually stayed true to the original (giving homepage) unlike this one.

I like that it’s completely different, they had to do something new since the original franchise is still going on. I’m seeing a lot of horror fans ranking this as their second favorite Chucky movie after the original.

The Friday the 13th remake is probably the best film in the entire franchise, and the Evil Dead remake isn’t just one of the better ones, it’s one of my favorite horror movies of all time.
