This. It seems very strategic that she’s doing all this on Pride month where she can make the most money and get the most praise instead of just doing it normally. I mean she’s the only pop girl that never fully embraced gay culture (not that she needs to) so good for her for catching up.

Not to rain on your parade sis but judging by Me!'s chart performance, she had ALREADY lost her Republican fans lol. Not to mention they weren't here for her pop music any ways and if anything it gives arguments against her declined popularity some ammo because "of course she sells less when she made a pro-LGBTQ song".

She wasn't worried because she's pop now. And as Carey said, it's the sudden trend right now. That said, I don't think she ever was anti-LGBTQ either, so it's a genuine business decision, but business decision nonetheless

I will say though, I’m sick of the lgbt community constantly being used as a gimmick or novelty. Or the way certain pop stars will bait said community to further their career. It’s all become a little too “charity of the week”. They’ll go back to not caring the second we stop benefitting them.
