Fun hook but some of those scenes are cringe as fvck and the video isn't great.

Uhm, does this sound like CTTR? Yes. Does it sound like her usual TD-Prism-Witness radio pop? Yes. If anything, Katy has been devolving since her OFTB days. Songs can still be cute and fun all that but how interesting is she as an artist when there's no evolving on her part?

Yes you’re right, not only is she not evolving as an artist, she’s been devolving since her debut/TD

Right after I finished the song I went to listen to Teenage Dream and wondered what happened. lol she really needs Dr Luke.

Because that’s ALL she’s doing. (Releasing cute fun pop songs). I still like her but she will never have her “Stripped” or “In the Zone” or “Anti”. Just the same thing over & Over again.

Ugh I was afraid of this happening. This is just a mall song basically. Totally boring and mindless. At least CTTR had some kind of messaging and Skip Marley for some flavor. She’s in her 30s it’s time to grow already.

To be fair, at least the Joanne era was different from the previous era and showcased Gaga's talents as well. Trying something new is what Katy desperately needs because she's in P!nk's territory right now (just without the vocals and performance skills).

Like that campiness was cute for the TGIF video but between the twinkies during Dark Horse, Swish Swish embarrassment, and the hot cheetos during Hey Hey Hey it’s just NOT cute anymore! TOTGA remains her best video for me just because I don’t have to suffer through the childish antics.
