Why are girls flopping right now?

I'm looking at the top 36 on iTunes and I only see about 5-6 girls. The top 10 has been nothing but men for a couple of days now and the highest female artist is some random chick named Julia at #13 (with a discount).
What the fuck is going on?!

I've Said it before, looks like the pop girls' time is up.
Just like how rock music was once over, rnb was over, now it's the girls' turn unfortunately.

But it's not just pop girls flopping, it's girls of any genre. Music seems to going back to being male-dominated for some reason.

Exactly, it's all female artists not just pop girls. I blame it on the unoriginality of these new girls, they all sound bland and the same. Halsey, Alessia Cara, Daya, Tinashe, Dua Lupa, etc etc they all suck. Nothing like the late 00s that brought us Gaga, Katy, Kesha, Adele

Katy is flopping yes. I know you have a boner hate for Gaga but she's not really flopping when she's not even promoting The Cure yet. Kesha hasn't made new music.

Katy is BOMBING. The only thing that'll happen once she promotes Bon Appetit is that it'll go from bombing to flopping. Gaga's song is doing very well and ten times better than Bomb Appetite even without the discount.
Funny how you count Coachella as promo, but don't count Katy driving a truck around different cities and serving people some weird-ass dishes to promote the single NOT promo? LOL mmmmkay.

Adele and Taylor are the rare exceptions. Gaga has been flopping since Artpop boo... well actually, since the second half of the BTW era, so don't even.

By that logic, Katy has been flopping since the second half of her Prism era.
I see Gaga in the Top 10 in Australia, the UK and the Top 20 elsewhere like the US.
