Katy waited too long

I've said this before, Katy's fan base mostly consists of the general public & children and they move on fast. She should've released another album in 2015.
She didn't even see the warning signs when her last singles from Prism started bombing.
Maybe she just needs Dr Luke.

Isn't Dr Luke ghost writing a lot of hits though? I wouldn't be surprised if he finds himself on the new album (if it ever gets released).

It really has nothing to do with time. People are willing to come back to the table..provided there's something they feel is worthwhile.
That's the problem: her new stuff utterly sucks. Just like Gaga's did. If Katy released Teenage Dream 2 it'd sell like hotcakes. Just like if Gaga released TFM 2 tomorrow she would find a lot of success and popularity again.
But now Katy wants to half shave off her hair, dye it a puke blond, act like a wayward lost dimwit, release forgettably shitty music...and think she'll still be popular; and Gaga wants to wear an all pink cowboy outfit, pretend she's a redneck, sing crude plain faux country...and can't get why NO ONE wants it!
