Yet the song is currently smashing the Billboard chart.

How can such disastrous numbers give it a Top 5 position on the Hot 100? Well... radio joy

Great song, her best yet, but the GP isn't as impressed as the radio programmers LOL.

It's higher on the worldwide iTunes chart than Million Discounts.

Even Pharrell Williams' three and a half year old song Happy is 1 spot higher than Million Attempts. joy

Sorry Bill Werde isn't at Billboard to manipulate that charts for your ugly Mother Monster anymore boo.

Hello itsokayimanidiot,

Million Reasons is currently #28 on iTunes and is Top 30 on the Hot 100, so everything fits.

Love on the Brain is lower than Million Reasons on iTunes yet is smashing harder than almost any other song on the Hot 100.

You can shove that Bill Werde and your delusional made-up story of manipulation obsession up your butt, because it has absolutley nothing to do with the issue at hand.

Now take your meds, log off and go to bed, darling.

And now that Million Discounts doesnt have anymore discounts, it'll be right where LOTB is on iTunes, even though it's been out half the time LOTB has and was performed at the SUPER BOWL. I'm so happy Rih effortlessly slays and doesn't have to do the absolute most for chart positions. So refreshing to see

Lots of backdeals with radio programmers.

Obviously, Love on the Brain is smashing because of love from radio. Does your point of bringing MR into this discussion have something to do with lack of other arguments as to why Rihanna is smashing? laughing

Also, Rihanna stans (maybe not you) were trying to drag Beyonce's Drunk In Love because it was #10 on iTunes, but sat firmly at #2 on the Hot 100 back in 2013, saying that it didn't deserve to be that high etc. But none of ya'll are saying anything to a song that's freaking OUTSIDE OF THE TOP 30 because you're a double standard fanbase.

The minute MR was discounted it went to #1 on iTunes and that was waaaaaaay before the Super Bowl. Why isn't that the case with the new discounts this week? You guys act like the discount is a guaranteed success, but 90 percent of the discounts really have low updates.

The only songs that truly benefited from the discounts were I Don't Wanna Live Forever, Cheap Thrills and Million Reasons.

And then it quickly plummeted down and off the charts which is why it only went to #52 on Billboard until the Super Bowl. Obviously monsters couldn't keep up their craigslist prostitution campaign for the song which is why it didn't last longer than a hot minute.

Discounts won't help Gargamel's future no1curr singles because she won't be able to combine it with Super Bowl exposure...poor ha! Back to irrelevancy. grinning

Nope. She just has fans that are still alive and able to request it on radio. It's also a radio-friendly song that doesn't want to make you kill yourself like Million Discounts.

I like Payola on the Brain though. I sincerely think it's her best single, but it's strange people would request it on the radio yet not stream or buy it. Makes no sense.

But if that's the case then that's another first for Rihanna. The first artist ever to have listeners who are only willing to hear the song on the radio. Hey, an accomplishment is an accomplishment I guess smile

IDWLF sold 1 million WW before the discounting, but after that it definitely did help. Especially smart to do it during the movie's peak as well. I still think it would've debuted #1 had Taylor put it on Spotify/Apple Music the first week, but #2 is still great.

Anyways, I think LOTB could definitely become a classic. Reminds me of Love On Top in the sense that it isn't a smash seller, but still arguably one of Bey's most "classic" songs. Now if only Rih's lazy ass makes a video lol then maybe it could get #1 joy

Love on the Brain is sooooo good though. Rihanna's best song and arguably a future classic. I know sales aren't always what makes a song a classic, there are numerous examples of this.

You're right about Taylor debuting at No. 1 with IDWLF had it been on Spotify from the get-go. However, it doesn't really matter in the long run. A hit doesn't have to be atop the charts to be considered one.

But in the age of the Katy Perry's and Payola deals I get why that's hard to understand for some people.

So are we just not getting a music video?
