In terms of first world countries the US is a piece of shit. Lot of great things here, but the government and healh issues are awful.

There are far worse places in the world, obviously. As far as Western civilisation goes though the US is the pits.

No country resolved its financial situation following the financial crisis. Europe is BROKE to the core! It's printing funny money which will eventually implode the entire EU.

Britain has never recovered from WWII and is also broke. Now factor in that the EU will be looking to repeatedly punish Britain for Brexit.

The UK and EU make the US look like Jesus Christ.

Economically the UK is in a worse place obviously, but it's nice living in a place where guns and religion aren't hardwired into the culture.

Define "pyschos". America seems to revel in their disdain for education and free-thinking. At least in certain parts of the country.

They're actually not at all, hence why gun control is a very contentious political issue every US election. Those elements are staples of only the southern and midwestern parts of the US. Basically in all of the northeastern parts of the US (New York, New Jersey, Vermont, Connecticut, New Hampshire, etc.) these things are nonexistent.

I've never even held a loaded gun in my hand, much less fired one.

Scandinavia and Germany are really the only countries that continue to prosper. The rest is a mess.

Can't argue with that. We're the only modern western country that considers healthcare a privilege, not a right and profits from those sick and dying, so in that sense, the term "pyschos" has a broad meaning. And your definition of psychos (serial killers, mass shooters) comes back to healthcare as well because there's this stigma attached to seeking help for mental issues and now more than ever there's less programs to help those who are sick mentally, that's "entitlement programs" to a specific portion of our government that cares more about making a buck than they do about their own people. The fact that these people can sleep and comfortably at night is truly terrifying, it's that arrogant, narcissistic grandiosity that hinders progress and sets us back all in the name of someone's warped "traditional" way of thinking because they want us to live in 1955.

People are stuck on stupid in this country and tragedy after tragedy happens with everyone upset and I'm sitting here with a resting bìtch face saying "well DUH!!" cut federal spending for the mentally ill and promote gun access to everyone and that's what you get! I'm not even sad anymore, I'm numb to it. We as a country deserve it. News coverage will show a country in mourning but we'll never get it. America does the right thing when all else fails and above of all we love a good tragedy to mentally masturbate to FOREVER. We learn NOTHING. We gain NOTHING. This country and the majority of its citizens (even the ones who didn't vote for Trump) are jokes, hey, as long as you have the latest iPhone and a new season of The Walking Dead and Game Of Thrones that's all that matters, you're in Shangri-la!

That's so sad. Although Australia is going down the tubes too. Not to the extent of America and nobody has guns. But the Govt is selling out our country to the Chinese or other overseas interests. Our agricultural farms, beef stations, dairies, our beautiful islands. It's a tragedy. All our industries are just about gone. And the madness of wind farms. devastating our land, killing our wild life especially birds. while cutting out coal stations. Leavings states in blackouts literally.

We are becoming a country of entitlement. Everyone wants something for nothing. Not to mention bringing in thousands of refugees which we cannot sustain.so they borrow money to do it..and as an added bonus, crime is out of control since they let these people in. Home invasion, car jackings, attacking people on the streets, the list goes on... these crimes were very rare before the intake. Our mental health issues are another story.. Everyone is on some sought of medication.

And don't get me started on what they are trying to do to our children beginning at preschool..

Our Govt is insane.
