El Hormiguero is a Spanish television program with a live audience focusing on comedy, science, and politics running since September 2006. It is hosted and produced by screenwriter Pablo Motos. The show aired on Spain's Cuatro channel from launch until June 2011 and is now broadcast on Antena 3. Recurring guests on the show include Luis Piedrahita, Raquel Martos, Marron & "The Man in Black", and puppet ants Trancas and Barrancas. It has proved a ratings success, and has expanded from a weekly 120-minute show to a daily 40-minute show in its third season, which began on September 17, 2007. The show won the Entertainment prize at the 2009 Rose d'Or ceremony.

Las noticias del guiñol was a satirical news programme that aired on Canal+ and Cuatro in Spain. It is somewhat based on a similar programme airing on its sister Canal+ network in France, Les Guignols de l'info, in that it features latex puppets. Latex casts may be shared among countries with local celebrities being used as anonymous citizens in foreign shows. It was initially hosted by the puppets of Marta Reyero and Hilario Pino, the real hosts of the channel daily news. Later, its host was a facsimile of Michael Robinson, an English-born football pundit; and in the final seasons it was conducted by the puppet of Iker Jiménez.

While Penélope Cruz has made some appearances, the program generally focuses on prominent athletes and political figures. Among other figures, the program features Pau Gasol, Raúl, Luis Aragonés, Florentino Pérez, Joan Laporta, Fernando Alonso, José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero, Mariano Rajoy, María Teresa Fernández de la Vega, José Bono, Pasqual Maragall, and Josep-Lluís Carod-Rovira. International figures who regularly appear include David Beckham, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Samuel Eto'o, Louis Van Gaal George W. Bush, Condoleezza Rice, Tony Blair, Silvio Berlusconi and Pope Benedict XVI.

Five couples at a critical moment in their relationship search for the answer to the big question: Are they made for each other? The participants will live apart but they will not be alone. They will live with ten single men and ten single women who want to find love. Produced by Cuatro in collaboration with 100 Balas, the Flipy producer responsible for the season's revelation series, “Chiringuito de Pepe”, Flo and Dani will act as masters of ceremonies in “Sopa de Gansos”, an original and surprising television show with humor as the absolute protagonist directed by Eduardo Aldán (“Espinete does not exist”, “Caiga who falls”).
