The second in my genre lists. I'm not super into the horror genre, but these are some pretty cool ones I rather like and would recommend. All would make for fantastic Halloween viewing!

Tales from the Crypt
The movie that introduced me to the horror anthology. A fun, creepy little romp with some pretty effective moments. Holds up well for rewatching too.

The House That Dripped Blood
Another highly entertaining anthology. Old horror titans Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee have some good scenes. Watch for Cushing's head on a platter!

The Hound of the Baskervilles
Vies with the classic 1939 Rathbone/Bruce version, which obviously set the standard, but this is a well-done, stylish version in itself.

The Fly
An above-average horror flick. In fact, a classic of the horror genre!

Dracula
I actually prefer this version to the more famous, landmark 1931 film with Bela Lugosi, though neither versions quite do justice to the book. I'm probably biased though, as a big appreciator of Peter Cushing's work.

The Curse of Frankenstein
Again, I prefer this to the Universal version, as with Dracula. Cushing's work is highly commendable.
Side Note: My favorite line
"You're desecrating his body!"
Reply: "Desecrating has nothing to do with it. I'm removing the brain."

Son of Frankenstein
Basil Rathbone deserved more leading roles like this. He's brilliant in this classic '30's horror piece.

The Devil-Doll
Lionel Barrymore's uncanny performance makes it wholly worthwhile. A pretty ridiculous film overall, but sometimes that can be a very good thing.

The Raven
One of Karloff and Lugosi's best. The two work very well together. Would have liked to see Boris Karloff in more roles like this...

Bride of Frankenstein
Not one of my favorites, but worth seeing. The scene at the end where Elsa Lancaster as the Bride screams at her groom-to-be is (unintentionally?) hilarious!
